As the largest state east of the Mississippi River, Georgia is the 24th most extensive and 8th most populous state located in the Southeastern region of the United States. Nicknamed the “Peach State” and the “Empire State of the South,” Georgia is famous for its peaches, pecans, peanuts, sweet Vidalia onions, cotton, remote Appalachian hills, Okefenokee Swamp, Golden Isles, and Atlanta Falcons and Braves. Known for its southern hospitality in the Deep South, 14 of Georgia’s counties have been ranked among the nation’s 100 fastest-growing as more new residents are attracted to the state.
Despite the numerous top-ranked universities located throughout Georgia, there is only one Master’s in Human Resources Management program that is aligned with the Society of Human Resources Management (SHRM). Attending a program aligned with the guidelines by the SHRM ensures that students are receiving a degree that will lead to respect in the field for a prosperous career as an HR professional.
