Anderson School of Management grants a BBA in Human Resources Management for University of New Mexico Lobos to develop real-world business strategies that effectively utilize employee talent and enhance workplace productivity. Chaired by Dr. Michelle Arthur, a 2005 Rosabeth Moss-Kanter Award for Excellence nominee, the 120-credit, AACSB-accredited curriculum lets juniors and seniors focus on labor relations. Required courses, such as Organizational Behavior, Employment Law, and Conflict Negotiation, are delivered in Albuquerque at a 16:1 student-teacher ratio. Undergrads might also secure three-credit internships like Excel Staffing, pursue the 3-2 MBA, pledge Alpha Kappa Psi, exchange to China, and attend the Distinguished CEO Series.
Ranked 74th by the U.S. News & World Report, the Anderson MBA offers 11 field concentrations, including Organizational Behavior/Human Resource Management, for University of New Mexico post-grads to elevate their team-based leadership skills. About the University of New Mexico
The University of New Mexico originated on February 28, 1889, when the Territorial Legislature passed Bill 186 to allocate 20 initial acres in Albuquerque to erect the earliest college. In 1892, President Elias S. Stover formally opened the institution’s first building called Hodgin Hall. In 1922, President David Ross Boyd secured its land-grant status and regional accreditation. In December 1930, UNM started its beloved Hanging of the Greens tradition. In 1943, UNM became one of the 131 universities participating in World War II’s V-12 Navy Training Program. University of New Mexico Accreditation Details
On February 6, 2019, the Higher Learning Commission of the North Central Association (HLC-NCA) Board of Trustees gave the University of New Mexico an “Under Governmental Investigation” designation before the 2019-20 Level VI accreditation review led by its 22nd president, Dr. Garnett S. Stokes, who earned the Albuquerque Women of Influence Award. Located 1,335 miles northeast via Interstate 44 in Chicago, this mammoth 19-state Midwest Region accreditor is recognized by the U.S. Education Department to review UNM’s 93 associate, 95 bachelor’s, 89 master’s, four specialist, and 48 doctoral degrees. Specifically, the Robert O. Anderson School was reaffirmed by the Association to Advance Collegiate Schools of Business (AACSB) on January 9, 2011.
University of New Mexico Application Requirements
Getting into the University of New Mexico is classified “moderately difficult” by Peterson’s since only 5,629 of the 10,912 Fall 2017 applicants were selected for 52 percent acceptance. First-year Lobos chasing the Anderson BBA in Human Resource Management must conclude a college-prep high school curriculum with 16 units in five core academic subjects. Non-traditional freshmen with minimum 150 GED sub-scores are considered. On average, admitted undergrads present a cumulative 3.38 GPA in grades 11 and 12. The middle 50th percentile earn SAT scores of 930-1170. Mid-range admitted ACT scores are 19-25. Transfers with 24+ accredited credits graded C or better would qualify for testing waivers. One exemption is for foreign students who need at least 6.5 IELTS, 53 PTE, or 550 TOEFL marks. The Anderson MBA in Organizational Behavior/Human Resources Management seeks bachelor’s grads with GPAs above 3.0 in the last 60 credits. Achieving 500 or greater on the GMAT exam is required unless students have 3.5 GPAs from AACSB-accredited schools.
The University of New Mexico has rolling undergrad admission with priority dates of May 1st for Fall, November 15th for Spring, and May 1st for Summer. International Anderson BBA students should file before June 15th, October 1st, or March 1st respectively. The MBA in Organizational Behavior/Human Resources Management has preferential deadlines of September 1st and March 1st. MBA cohorts can apply until October 1st, February 1st, or April 1st. Tuition and Financial Aid
For 2018-19, the University of New Mexico charged full-time “Land of Enchantment” undergrads $3,661 per term or $7,322 annually. Non-resident BBA in Human Resources Management tuition was $11,293 each semester or $22,586 each year. Living at the Albuquerque campus’ dorms like Alvarado Hall added $9,864 for yearly room and board. UNM budgeted $1,126 for books, $1,892 for transportation, and $2,124 for miscellaneous. Annual bachelor’s attendance equaled about $22,328 in-state or $37,592 out-of-state. Online undergrad courses billed everyone $349 per credit. The Regents Scholarship gifts $18,803 annually to in-state freshmen meeting the 31 ACT or 1390 SAT minimum. The $2,000 UNM Transfer Scholars Program has March 1st and October 1st deadlines for undergrads with GPAs above 3.25 in 30+ credits.
