Based out of Missouri, the university has its flagship campus in Webster Groves, but it also operates other cities and states. Many of these campuses are on or near military bases and offer military personnel the chance to go back to school. Webster is proud of its alumni network. The university has an alumni network of more than 170,000 professionals working in Missouri, across the US, and around the world. All of the HR programs at this university have the same application requirements. Students will need to submit official transcripts and test scores to the university and fill out an online application. Webster may ask for additional information such as a professional writing sample, a copy of the student’s resume or letters of recommendation.

It’s available as a joint program for undergrads who want to earn a bachelor degree and an MBA faster, but those at the graduate level can also enroll. The university will look at the courses that students took at the undergrad level to determine if they took the right prerequisite courses to enroll in the full program. Those in the full program must take required courses such as operations and project management, advanced corporate finance and managerial economics. There are emphasis areas available in both human resources management and human resources development. Other emphasis areas are also available, but the university recommends these options for students currently working in the HR field and those who will one day work in the HR field.

Though it features only eight required courses that are worth 24 credits, students will need to take electives to complete at least 36 credits of work before they can graduate. Required classes include career management, organizational behavior, organization development and change and introduction to human resources development. Students will also need to take a class on research methods used in the HR field and one on the training and development of new talent in the HR field. All the courses available work together to prepare students for working in leadership and management roles. Those students learn how to create benefits and compensation packages suitable for all types of employees.
