Nicknamed the “First State” for being the first of the 13 colonies to sign the United States Constitution way back in 1787, Delaware is also the “Small Wonder” with the second smallest land area and sixth lowest population of all states in the nation. Situated at the northeastern portion of the Delmarva Peninsula in the Northeast along the coastline of the Atlantic Ocean, Delaware is famous for its historical buildings, beaches, tax-free shopping, miles of natural preserves, Blue Rocks Baseball, Dover Downs, Monster Mile, Dover Air Space Museum, and the Delaware Memorial Bridge, which is the longest twin span suspension bridge on the globe. Home to fewer than one million residents, the state is also home to just one graduate program for students interested in pursuing a career in Human Resources. The following is the only Master’s level Human Resources Management program in Delaware that has been aligned with the standards set by the SHRM.
